The Report suggested the establishment of a structure, namely a Sorghum Cluster, to drive the initiatives recommended in the Report. Industry in principle supported the establishment of a Cluster and a Non-Profit Company (NPC) was formally recognised in October 2023.

The Sorghum Cluster Initiative was therefore established to encourage strategies to create closer market linkages, improve supply chains and foster collaboration among value chain role-players to grow the sorghum industry.
